Reserve the trees now, take them when the job is ready
Large caliper trees are not something you source in a hurry. Contract growing puts your name on specific trees while they are still growing, at a price agreed up front.
What it solves
The trees are committed
Contracted stock is not offered to anyone else. When the phase you planned for finally breaks ground, the trees are still there.
The price is set
Agreed at contract, not at delivery. You can carry a real number into a bid on work that will not be planted for another season or two.
Grown to your spec
Variety, container size and caliper agreed at the start, so what shows up matches what was drawn rather than whatever was left.
How it works
- Tell us the job. Varieties, sizes, quantities, and roughly when you need them on site.
- We agree a schedule and a price. Written down, including what happens if the timeline moves, because on long projects it usually does.
- Your trees grow at our expense, not yours. We carry the water, the labour and the ground they sit on until you need them.
- Tag and take delivery. Come out and walk your block whenever you like. Trees ship when the site is ready for them.
Who it suits
Contract growing is worth the paperwork when the quantity is large enough or the specification tight enough that finding the trees later would be a real risk. Multi-phase commercial work, municipal projects with fixed species lists, and anyone who has been caught once already by a supplier who could not deliver what they promised.
For smaller or nearer-term work, our regular stock is usually the better answer. Check what is available today before assuming you need a contract.
Talk it through
Contract terms depend on the varieties, the volume and the timeline, so the honest answer is that it needs a conversation rather than a price list. Call and we will tell you quickly whether it makes sense.
